Fox darkens the legs of the Kirin, but may also affect the underbelly, flanks, withers, face and hair. This marking doesn't change the skin or eyecolour of the Kirin, which will display as it would normally for the colour.

This marking is always darker than the base or black, and should be close to the base in hue and saturation. Fox tends to have semi-soft edges but retains enough hardness to display as a clear shape. Fox is symmetrical and can not form shapes or patterns, cannot have holes and will never display in patches or spots.

The Mane and Tail may be affected by Fox.

Min.png
Minimal

Fox must always cover the legs up to the knees and hocks, and will always darken the eartips.

It may or may not have a black tailtip at this stage, but the mane will never be affected without the body markings.

Med.png
Medium

Fox can show body markings which darken the belly, withers and form a stripe along the flanks just behind the elbow.

A dark marking on the nose may be present.

Max.png
Maximal

In addition to the body markings, fox can have a considerably darkened topline.

The tail may be entirely black if body markings are present, and the mane may have darker tips.

Furthermore, ticking may be present throughout the coat, giving the fur a dark speckled appearance.
