HAIR TYPES
Hair types decide what the Mane and Tail of your Kirin look like and come as their own different bases in the group. Each base will have the body, hair, skin, eye, etc mapped out and alpha locked to make colouring them in as easy as possible.
Some hair types are rarer than others, which affects their chance to be rolled for random genos and their chance to pass on in breeding. The passing chances are as follows:
Common x Common: 50% / 50%
Common x Uncommon: 75% / 25%
Common x Rare: 90% / 10%
Uncommon x Uncommon: 50% / 50%
Uncommon x Rare: 75% / 25%
Rare x Rare: 50% / 50%
Crested Mane
Common
Crested Kirins have manes and tails which resemble those of horses. Their manes may grow up to knee length, while their tails can grow long enough to touch and slightly drag across the ground.
Hair texture may be straight or wavy, even slightly curly and may be thick enough to form a double sided mane.
Lion Mane
Common
Kirins with this Hair Type sport a thick neck mane and a sleek tail with a tuft at the end. Their manes don't usually grow longer than shoulder length and their tail tufts never grow longer than a 3rd of the short haired tail.
Lion manes can be straight or wavy in texture, but may also form tight curls and frills.
Dorsal Mane
Uncommon
Dorsal manes run from the forehead along the neck and back and ends in a thick tufted tail. These manes grow thick and may be long enough to hang past the flanks and neck on either side.
Hair texture may be straight or wavy, but isn't able to form curls.
Halfmane
Uncommon
Halfmanes have long silky hair growing from the underside of their neck and chest, which may grow long enough to drag on the floor. Additionally they have crest manes that may reach shoulder length and a long silky horse like tail that may drag on the ground for considerable lengths.
Hair texture is usually straight but can be slightly wavy. Halfmanes are typically very silky and do not form curls.
Tufted
Rare
Kirins with this hair type have long, silky manes and a thin tail with a tuft at the end. The mane grows so long it may drag on the floor, and the tail is typically slightly longer than the body, with a fur tuft that can grow to the length of a leg easily.
Hair texture is usually straight but can be slightly wavy or curly.
