Naturally occuring white markings are common and show up on the face and legs. Where the white touches, skin is turned pink and hooves or horns would be lightened. Natural White will never change the eyecolour or mane.

The edges of these markings should be mostly crisp, never visibly blurry or gradiented and for the most part, smooth without jagged or spotted areas that would resemble vitiligo.

Small holes in the marking, showing the base beneath, can occur near the nose, eyes or hooves. These holes are called Ermine Spots and should never be too large or so high in number that they cluster together into larger patches.

For white markings, please stay close to the colour examples given to the left. While whites are not as strictly corrected as other colours, they should still clearly read as white.

Furthermore, these markings should appear natural. They should never form overly unnatural shapes or symbols, or look too deliberate in their purpose. A star roughly shaped like a heart is perfectly fine but they should not resemble a perfectly shaped spiral, round patches around eyes or eyeliner, as an example.

Below are some examples of face and leg markings, as well as a maximum range for natural white markings.
