Shaded is a complex dilution modifier, consisting of two elements. The first being clearly diluted, near white markings focused on the legs, undersides and neck of the Kirin. It also lightens the fur around the muzzle and causes bright brow spots on the face.

The second part of Shaded are the lesser diluted accents. Areas of fur that are between white and the base colour, leaving the base colour as the darkest parts of the Kirin.

Shaded is always lighter than the base, with its lightest areas often reaching white or near white tones. It can be less saturated than the base, but never more saturated. Edges are clearly defined, but may be blended into the base in some places.

Shaded doesn't change the skin or eyecolour. It will also never affect the mane or tail. It's also always symmetrical.

Minimal

Shaded always lightens the area around the muzzle, browspots and undersides of the Kirin. Minimal secondary dilution areas must be present.

Medium

On average, the white areas of this marking tend to cover roughly 50% of the Kirin. Secondary dilutions cover large parts of the fur.

Max.png
Maximal

White diluted markings can cover up to roughly 80% of the Kirin. Secondary dilutions may cover almost all of the fur, but must leave at least a small bit of the base visible.
