Pointed is a marking that affects the legs, face, tail and partially the mane of a Kirin, darkening the fur. This marking doesn't change the skin or eyecolour of the Kirin, which will display as it would normally for the colour.

This marking is always darker than the base or black, and should be close to the base in hue and saturation. Pointed is symmetrical and always has gradiented edges that blend into the base coat smoothly. Pointed cannot form shapes or patterns, cannot have holes and will never display in patches or spots.

The mane and tail, if affected, match the colour of the marking on the body in colour.

Minimal

Pointed must at least darken about 50% of the face and the legs up to the pasterns.

The ears and tailtip may or may not be affected.

Med.png
Medium

Typically, Pointed covers most of the face and ears, the legs just past the knees and hocks and the tip of the tail.

Maximal

At most, pointed will fully cover the legs, face and tail. It may extend slightly along the neck and in doing so, may darken the roots of the mane where it touches slightly.
