XP   FROM   ART

Kirins will become stronger over time as you draw, write and participate in the group. As they collect XP, they rise up in their Tier, earning rewards and unlocking content along the way. Though most Tiers can be unlocked through art alone, Tier 5 and 10 also require a certain amount of Activities to be finished.

XP and Activities are recorded in an XP Tracker. Your XP tracker should be clean and organized and should record the XP and Activities total after every Tier, with a screenshot of the admins approval comment linked. This is so that admins don't need to count the already approved Tiers again and issues such as lost art are not an issue.

When your Kirin advances a Tier, it will earn Stat Points which may be freely distributed. You can read more on stats and skills at the bottom of this page.

  • All art must be coloured or greyscaled to accurately show the markings and overall design of the Kirin to count for XP.

  • Art must be unique to count for XP, reused art or bases will not count for XP.

  • The pieces should match the rest of your gallery in quality. You don't need to consistently put out masterpieces, but if a piece looks like you scribbled it in a rush for quick XP it won't be counted.

  • When using references, stick to legally available stock photos and other such resources. Tracing over someone elses art is not allowed.

  • When writing, a Kirin must play an active role to earn XP. If thrown in as a side mention or background character, it will not gain anything.

  • When roleplaying, only your own posts earn XP, but you earn a small bonus for collaborating with another member if they are also using a Kirin from the group in the RP.

  • Animations must be at least 4 frames to earn XP and should have at least some minor movement such as an ear flick, snort or tail wiggle. Repeating eye blinks do not gain an animation bonus.

  • A simple background may be abstract or somewhat blurry, but should still be clearly identifiable as a sort of enviroment. Textures, patterns and/or gradients do not earn XP.

  • A complex background has to match up with the artist's other more complex backgrounds in detail and should have at least some depth and clutter to it such as trees, rocks or buildings. It should be shaded and overall crisp with no or very few blurry areas.

  • Simple shading may be soft or hard edged, but has to remain visible to the viewer. It must give the character at least some depth. Heavily gradiented implied shadows do not count as shading!

  • Complex shading is very detailed, rendering muscle and hair detail at least to some extent. It usually utilizes at least two layers of shadow or more and may have additional lighting. Most paintings fall in this category, as do detailed cell shaded pieces.

STATS   &   THEIR   USE

As your Kirins earn XP and rise up in Tiers, they gain stats the help them on their adventures. These stats can be put into 5 categories, each supporting a different aspect of the game. These categories are Constitution, Agility, Strength, Intelligence and Divinity. Each maxes out at 10 stat points, but choose wisely, because your Kirin won't gain enough to max out everything. The maximum amount of stat points to be earned is 25.

Once allocated, stats cannot be easily changed. To do so you will need 1x God's Gaze which can be found when participating in a specific event.

Constitution: 0/10 [Adds a 1% chance for Twins; Max: 10%]
Agility: 0/10 [Adds 1XP extra for all Kirins shown; Max: 10XP]

Strength: 0/10 [Adds 2 Extra Mamo found in Activities; Max: 20M]

Intelligence: 0/10 [Adds a 5% chance to find extra loot; Max: 50%]

Divinity: 0/10 [Adds a 1% chance to find rare loot; Max: 10%]

None of these effects can be stacked to get higher bonuses. Only the Kirin with the highest stat in the relevant category will be counted. It's possible to gain all bonuses if each Kirin in a group has different stats leveled.

Only the stats of your own Kirins are considered for Stat bonuses. Collaborations benefit from the Stats of all the Kirins whose owners have worked on the piece.
